Water Damaged framing leads to beautiful cedar deck.

The clients had multiple “squishy” spots on their existing deck. After a quick diagnosis of dry rot on a support 4x4 cross beam. We quickly did a check of all the framing which we figured out all needed to be replaced. The clients decided they wanted to reframe with more structured posts, new 2x6 hangers, new 2x6 stringers, and new framing for their steps. They also wanted to install new 5/4”x6” green cedar deck boards and clear coat waterproofing. This created an absolutely beautiful deck that is not only structurally sound, but inviting and warm.
